Interstate Trucking was a small business sim I wrote for Ludum Dare #13 (“Roads”). It was the first game I’d written since I was 14, and the product of a slightly unlikely conversation with a friend:
“Hey, are you doing Ludum Dare this weekend?” he asked.
“What is it?” says I.
“Well, it’s this 48-hour game-making competition. You should do it.”
And so I did. Written in Ruby (a great language, but absolutely terrible for building games), with a somewhat flaky Windows port.
